Flerkó–Bárdos Junior Award for Katalin Skrapits

Thursday, 2 June, 2022

Once again, we can congratulate Katalin Skrapits on a remarkable achievement. This time, the Flerkó–Bárdos Foundation has recognized her successful work with an award.

The Flerkó–Bárdos Foundation established the prize in 2019, consisting of a commemorative medal and a monetary award.

“The purpose of the commemorative medal is to encourage and support the work of endocrinologists, neuroendocrinologists, and anatomists who have achieved internationally outstanding results in scientific research and in nurturing the next generation, and to recognize their accomplishments. The medal is named the Flerkó–Bárdos Commemorative Medal and is awarded in two categories: junior and senior.”

From our institute, Krisztina Kovács and Csaba Fekete have previously received the award in the senior category, and as of this year we can proudly say that the junior category also has a winner at KOKI. Since winning in the junior category does not preclude someone from later becoming a laureate in the senior category as well, Katalin Skrapits may have the chance to achieve this distinction in the future, if she continues her work with the same success. We wholeheartedly congratulate her once again!
